The day I said these words…
“I, Stacy McLaughlin, do solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Idaho, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of West Magic Fire District Commissioner, according to the best of my ability.”
Then I signed my name to a sheet of paper when issued this badge. The first sentence reads “The Commissioners of the West Magic Fire District are happy to provide you with this badge certifying your participation, dedication and teamwork in our ongoing effort to provide West Magic and outlying areas with the best fire coverage available within our means.”
This badge is a sign of responsibility, trust and dedication which I accepted then and every day since.
After much thought and conversations I have decided…
This is too near and dear to my heart and soul.
I am continuing to accept and discharge my duties for West Magic Fire District.
